Random Update...
Hey everybody. Just giving a shout out to anybody out there. If you are astonished by reading this it's probably due to the fact that I never post on Livejournal. I can't really say I don't post anymore in that I rarely did in the first place. Things are okay with me. I'm broke and slowly paying off a credit card bill racked up by dentist payments, car payments and the ever growing student loan. I work at the Detroit Zoo now. If you haven't been or haven't in a while I highly recommend you check it out. Get a membership and go a lot. Bring a camera. Doing festival again. Always fun to look forward to. See ya out there. Have a girlfriend that is very nice. I'll spare you all the details. Going on a secret trip with my folks for a whole week. Don't know where we're going. I'll try to keep you posted. I'm starring in a play that goes up in November and the Zeitgeist theatre in Detroit. It's called This is How It Goes... and it should be interesting. That's all. Oh wait, read the last Harry Potter book. I won't spoil it for everyone but I will say it is a good read. And the boat sinks. Thanks, outy! | | Friday, December 15th, 2006 | | 3:13 pm |

The Potatoes are Bubbling!
Greetings and merry tidings to you all, At this festive time of year I am generally very busy running on the crew of a Christmas Carol at Meadow Brook Theatre, and so it is rare that I get a chance to post. This is a fallacious statement in that I rarely post to begin with. Yet here we are. The holidays are most fun, I have found, when spent in the warth and comfort of loved ones. The weather is getting colder (or in recent days warmer. Freaking Michigan, would you just make up your mind already!) and the spirit of giving is all around us. So it is little surprise (or a large surprise to those with little faith) that I announce the introduction of my new girlfriend Heather! She is a very lovely tall, blonde, English major at Oakland U and a dresser for Christmas Carol (Shocker!). Now some are probably wondering "What happened to Karlie?" And the answer is nothing. She is fine as far as I know. We are still friends and I wish her the world. For those not connected thru MySpace, I suggest you do so. I have my first movie "The Last Beer" posted so you can check me out if you haven't already. Another of my plays "The Pompitous of Love" was performed for the first time at the student directed one acts to much acclaim. This has fueled my fire to write more scenes and finish my full length play. I am also interested in the opinions of fellow writers and fans of reading. If you would like to read any plays I am looking to get them posted on MySpace or you can give me your email and I can send it direct. Aside from all that, my brothers are going to be in town for the holidays and my little bro will be bringing his bouncing baby boy Oliver. It will be a full house this Christmas and I'm not talking Bob Sagot here. | | Monday, November 6th, 2006 | | 11:20 am |

So much for Autumn...
I was going to petition the powers that be to extend Autumn till February, but alas, a decision was made before I could get all the signitures in. If you haven't looked outside, I advize just going back to sleep. You don't want to see it. If you have looked outside, and live in the metro Detroit area, you have probably noticed a slew of the most Outrageous Object of Obfuscation, I mean snow. That's right. It's 2:30 in the afternoon and I can't see a thing! And it's going to be cold. Oh yeah, you better believe it, mister. The coldest cold I've seen all year. And it used to be so warm. SO be safe on the roads. I don't have to remind you my feelings on automobile safty. Kind of like my feelings on flip flops, or as I like to call them, the devil's footwear. | | Monday, October 30th, 2006 | | 12:52 pm |
Friday the 13th... the Stage Play!
I saw this show last night at Oakland university and it rocked my colon! The next two shows are the 30th and 31st both at 10:30 at night and it's just under an hour long for four dollars! That's savings! There is a splash zone in case you get blood all over ya. Trash bags are provided (or you can bring your own). It's all done by students and is something to see, check it out! | | Saturday, October 28th, 2006 | | 1:26 pm |

Holloween FUN!
I'm watching Tower of Terror: the Movie. It stars Kirsten Dunst and everyone's favorite star of stage and screen: Steve Guttenburg! It's on ABC Family. So far, it's better than Haunted Mansion but obviously not as good as Pirates of the Carribean. Me, I'm waiting for Space Mountain: the Movie. I got a new car! It's a brand new, 2006 Kia Rio. It's got great gas mileage, it's a safe car, it's brand new, and it's all mine. All the cars I've had before have been adopted. I'm stoked. The Seance show is coming along. First show is on Wednesday. This is the first show I've built from scratch. I can't say I'm not nervous, but if I pull this off it'll be something to talk about. | | Friday, October 13th, 2006 | | 3:23 pm |
Worst week ever...
Okay, so I just got word today that the passenger spent the night in the hospital. Bruising or something. No real details. I feel awful. No, not just awful. Devastated. I'm slipping into my depression mode. Usually happens around this time of year. I blame the weather. It's cold. Windy. It snowed. I really want to find warmer climates. My car is still being looked at. No new info there. No rush really. I'm not really keen on driving. I used to love it. Not right now. I gotta find a job close to home. With any luck (because I have been so lucky so far) my boss at the video store will transfer me to a store close to home. Walking distance preferably. I sent my headshot and resume to the Talent Shop agency last week. I called today. They said it takes six to eight weeks before they call you. If they're interested. That's reassuring. | | Thursday, October 12th, 2006 | | 7:44 pm |
Green Arrow on Smallville...
That's right. For all you comic fans, Green Arrow is in this season of Smallville. Oliver Queen (GA's alter ego) made a cameo last week, and tonight he has been advertised as the central focus of this week's episode. He will be in costume. There have been many special appearances throughout the history of Smallville. Aside from the normal cast of Clark, Lana Lang, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor; Guests have been Bart Allen (Flash), Aurther Curry (Aquaman), Cyborg, Brainiac, Perry White, Jimmy Olson, Mr. Mxyzptlk. This is of course, the first established comic character in the show to sport their costume. Check it out. Oh it's starting. Shhhh | | Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 | | 6:33 pm |
Everything is fine. Except my life sucks...
Hey, I almost died today. I was driving back from sitting in on a kids show I will be working on in a small town near Lansing. Driving back with one of the managers of the theatre group in the passanger seat, it started to rain. A lot. While in the left lane we passed a gas truck that was in the right lane. We suddenly hydroplaned, spun in front of the truck (narrowly missing the grill) and landed in the ditch. Everyone inside is alive and safe. Suffice it to say, the car has seen better days. I'm kind of in a state right now. I have all this car stuff to deal with. I have no current transportation. I had minimal insurance so I'm not seeing anything out of that. My ex thinks this is a perfect oppurtunity to move. Which isn't really helping my self esteem so much as making it worse. I don't really know what to do. One thing I do know; I am alive by no action of my own. Had I gained control of that car for just a second while spinning out, that truck would have plowed clean into me and I would be dead. I've never come so close to dying before. I don't really want to drive anywhere right now. Until further notice I am effectively homebound. I have to find a new (probably old) car and the courage to get behind the wheel again. No easy feet. | | Wednesday, September 27th, 2006 | | 1:46 pm |

There's never a good time...
My grandmother had a stroke this morning. She just turned 93. Her husband, my grandfather, died nineteen years ago next week. She's on life support. She's non responsive and barely breathing on her own (if at all now.) My dad, her son, is in Toronto at the Film Festival. He's on his way back now, two days ahead of schedule. He wasn't there when his father passed. My fondest memory was of my freshman year of collage. I was in a production of the Wayside Motor Inn. She came to see me. During a point in the play, I sit on a balcony over looking what is supposed to be the expressway. Gramma starts whispering to me. "Psst! Stefan! Over here!" I, of course, am acting and do not respond. She proceeds to pull hard candies; you know the hard candies all grandmothers carry and assume everyone loves? Those. Anyways, she pulls these things out of her purse and begins throwing them at me, to get my attention. Clang! on the metal railing. Thunk! on my shoe. My grandmother was banned from future productions. Last year she started asking to go again. She wanted to see me perform. I told her to come to the Comedy of Errors show I did during the summer. Because of weather and scheduling she didn't get to the show. I promised her she'd be at the next one. In some ways, I know she will be. In other ways, I was too late. Another day...
Well, I'm single again. Karlie and I dated for a year and a half. Definitely the healthiest relationship I have ever been in. We're so opposite in all right ways. We could argue about anything and at the end we never took it personally. It was always like a game. Her way or mine, it didn't matter. She's still in school. I just graduated. We were apart all summer and we just aren't as close as before. I miss her already. But it ended amicably, I'll surely say that. So now I'm single. This means I should start dating again. Crap. | | Thursday, July 6th, 2006 | | 4:47 pm |

Left behind...
So yeah, the last couple of days after the play by plays were over have been reather dull. Packing (slowly) and hanging out. Remy disappeared for a couple of days. No one could reach him. Then last night Karlie calls. Apparantly the gang decided to go to Traverse City. Karlie was on her way to meet them. No body told me anything. I guess it will be a little longer before I can see my sweetums again. Next week is Matt's big party in Flint. So it might be two weeks fore I see her. Unrelated news... I am meeting this week with my juggling troup to decide the fate of one of our members. She came on board the same time as I did, but she didn't have the skill, timing or presence on stage as everyone else. She is a good friend of mine and has gotten much better over these last few years, but the gang has gotten it into their heads that she's bringing the group down. They're not wrong per se, and they don't have to give her andother chance. I have spent time practicing with her and I know she's gotten better. But everyone else wants her gone. Their going to ask me to vote, and I am going to abstain. Current Mood: disappointed | | Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 | | 11:20 am |
It's My Birf-Day!
That's right ladies, I am twenty SIX. But first, current events: I am in rehearsal right now for Water Works Shakespeare in the Park: Comedy of Errors- GOLD RUSH style. It goes up at the end of July. I am also in a play for the Heartlande Theatre Play by Play festival. It's called "Help Me, Father" and I do a Puerto Rican accent. Definitely a sight. I am also in a stage reading for a new play called Motor City Burning. It's with the Abreact (love those guys) and Heartlande. The Reading is June 23 and the festival is the 24th. I am leaving for Chicago this weekend to audition for theatres. More on that in the future. Don't want to get my hopes up. And now my Birthday. To start things off I spent a nice relaxing day yesterday sunbathing with my sweety gal Karlie Rose. She's like tenderness and stability in a rough and tumble shell. She's like sunshine you can suplex. Anywho, after lounging poolside I went to rehearsal for Comedy. It's loads of fun. I have eight really short lines which means little memorization needed, so I have all this time on stage to be in character. It's going to be a hoot. And since I was in Royal Oak I decided to check out BRICKTOWN STATION. A nice Funk Rock band that was playing at Memphis Smoke. They laid down a sweet set as I enjoyed my Cutty Sark straight up with a glass of water/ no ice. Ain't nothin like cheap scotch and the funk. I picked up a t-shirt (they don't have CD's yet. COMING SOON) which is my first official Birthday Gift to ME. Future is wide open. 25 was a good year. 26 looks to be exciting. The Duckish Play
HONK! the musical is cursed. Before rehearsal even started we lost our director and got a new one. In the first week of rehearsal we had an actress brain herself on a power box. Blood from the top of her head. One hospital stay. Nothing serious and no stiches. Second week there was a small fire in the Studio theatre (where the set was being built). Extensive smoke damage. Lots of firefighters. No fire damage. And now in the third week of rehearsal one of our actors picked up another actress, fell and injured his back. An ambulance ride and another trip to the hospital. Just a sprain, they think, and a bad reaction to the morphine. Whatever you do, don't HONK! in a theater. Current Mood: superstitious |
